AUDI TT

TT RS Coupe'

Short-shift manual transmission

For fast, crisp gear changes in a sporty, manual set-up, the TT RS Coupé comes with short-shift manual transmission as standard. This simple yet effective gear-change pattern means that the gearstick has a shorter distance to travel between each shift-gate, minimising the effort you have to make with each up or down-shift, whilst maximising your driving enjoyment.

quattro®: Assured cornering, superb control

A car such as the Audi TT RS Coupé needs special treatment to put its power to the road. Enter quattro, Audi’s renowned four-wheel-drive technology. With quattro, optimal drive delivery to each wheel is managed automatically and continuously, for superior handling and phenomenal grip – even in less than perfect driving conditions.
In 1980, the Audi quattro was the first permanent four-wheel drive production car. So while the technology is thoroughly tried and tested, it has also been enhanced and evolved ever since it was first introduced.

More grip, more driving enjoyment

In addition, the quattro drivetrain has been upgraded for the TT RS allowing, if necessary, 100% of the power to be guided to the front or rear wheels. This enables you to make the most of the car’s incredible torque by, for instance, pulling out of bends even sooner.

A suspension designed for supreme performance

The TT RS sports suspension is designed and configured for agility, confidence and dynamic driving. With its high-performance engine-and-gearbox combination, you’ll experience emphasised sporty handling combined with very high standards of safety.
The TT RS is fitted with RS Sports suspension, with dynamically tuned springs and dampers. This limits body movement when pulling away, braking and cornering. The result is assured road-holding, more precise steering and an altogether sportier driving experience.

The power plant behind our fastest TT yet

The Audi TT RS Coupé has a 340 PS, turbocharged 2.5 litre TFSI engine. It requires just 4.3 seconds to reach 62 mph, yet such scorching performance is not at the expense of economy; the ultra-powerful five-cylinder engine managing a highly respectable 33.2 mpg.

Power on tap

TFSI turbocharging technology make a compact power plant that develops its torque – a punchy 450 Nm – from just 1,600 rpm, which is barely above idle.  And it keeps delivering all the way up to 5,300 rpm. Such massive reserves of torque means blistering acceleration can be turned on like a tap in any gear - at virtually any speed - making overtaking truly effortless.

Performance under pressure

Dry-sump lubrication is an essential part of the TT RS’s engine - another innovative technology perfected on the racetrack. It allows the turbocharged engine to cope with extreme cornering forces without being starved of oil. Which means it’ll perform perfectly under lateral loads of up to 1.2 g.

Vorsprung durch Technik

These three words are not a slogan. It’s our way of seeing the world. It is the driving force behind our history of innovation that continues into the 21st century.
And it is this commitment in pioneering technologies, such as dry-sump lubrication, that has led to Audi winning Le Mans five times with a petrol engine and five times with a diesel engine.  We have always been at the forefront of the motor industry. Vorsprung durch Technik makes us who we are.

The RS difference

All Audi RS models have racing in their genes. Developed by quattro GmbH, they have been inspired, developed and built using technology developed on the racetrack. The RS badge not only guarantees awe-inspiring performance, it also represents the very embodiment of Vorsprung durch Technik.
It is where we pioneer our newest and most advanced engineering and technology. And then combine it with the very highest level of refinement and everyday practicality.

More than 20 years’ expertise

quattro GmbH was established in 1983 as a fully owned subsidiary of AUDI AG. Equipped with its own development and production facilities, the company’s team of around 580 employees develops, designs and produces the fastest and most spectacular quattro-equipped cars available.
